I went to the library today and was surprised to find many people reading. I did not realise that going to the library was also majority of people's hobby. Recently i have the kin interest to go to the library, because i realised that the place is filled with interesting knowledge and information that SHOPPING might not be able to give. Another reason for going to the library was because I have lotsa reading and research to catch up before I go for my next internship in abouttttt....... 3 weeks time. I do not neccessary trust and believe in every thing that I had read, but they allow me to be critical and curious to find out more about other issues and things that are going on around the world. I want to say that the library is getting popular among the trendy population too, it is no longer a place to accomodate only 'NERDY' and 'Boring' people. The people who are hanging around the library are mostly youths who are well and ablely dressed. Guess you guys will see me in the library more often!!!! Hehe!
However in the end in went to the cafe nearby to continue with my reading because I need to GRAB A BITE !!! It was a fruitful sunday afternoon.
Today in church, Uncle Tuck Loong shared about 3 factors that draw God's children away from HIM.
They are temptations, deception and (another I cannot remember).
In the modern society, New age and post modernism is the culture and many people are becoming open due to the various beliefs developed, it is getting more difficult to identify the black and white because many things are grey nowadays. It is so easy to fall into temptations and be blinded by the words and thoughts of the world. This leads to Uncle Tuck Loong, emphaising on the bible because he wants to remind everyone us that THE WORD of God has set us free and that God will bring the lies into light one day. In fact, Jesus has died on the Cross for us such that we ' ARE' set free. It is a confirmation. God has also emphasis in his word that those who believe in him and allow him to come into our hearts, will claim the land that will be given unto them. This leads to the issue on 'ownership' and it is by faith because without faith we will not be able to please God. I was pondering on the faith issue and I realised that as a Child of God, it is the faith that keeps us strong in my relationship with God. It is by faith that my friends and family members are able to see the work and miracles of God working. That's why if there is no faith in any ownership, GOD will not be pleased because everything is done in vain and for my own recognition. It is also equivalent to say that 'I am in control of my life and I am able to live life without God.' So wat's there for God to be pleased about me???
Wat speaks to me the most is the part about Deception. I think I fall into deception most of the time because I cannot help being concern about wat people say and think about me. For instance, have u ever felt that u are inadequate because you are forever comparing urself to another fren or person. It puts u down even more when u feel inadequate to do the task that U love and enjoy doing. Ever ask urself "Am I even adqeuate to be a ......... when I could not even perform a simple task like this.... " These are words and ways that the world wants me to be, however I realised that GOD created me and He knows me. He knows that I am imperfect, that's why He is ever so forgiving and his Grace is so abundunt to me. No matter who I am or what I have done wrong, GOD says that as long as I ask for forgiveness with my heart, He will forgive me.
'Every Good and perfect gift comes from Heaven above'
