It's the RETREAT !!!
Finally it is the day for retreat, but not exactly a retreat because this is the time for the social workers in the department to stay away from the normal working environment and patients/ clients, to work on their relationship with their colleagues. While building their relationship, issues, feelings and concerns will also be discussed during this 'stay away' period.
I am impressed and amazed by the interaction and time spent together with my colleagues today. There is so much laughter and fun with one another. Shoulders were rubbed, but voices with words were encouraging. Tiredness brings out encouragement to perserve , 'No Sweat' to complete the race because there is one another. I assumed that understanding for one another has increased by a few notches. Feelings are geninuely and boldly shared so that misunderstanding might be avoided. I hope there might more of such times to come.
A sigh of relief for the event to be over,
because there will be no more 'Meetings' and 'Planning' ahead.
Though there are confusion and disagreement,
there are' compromisation' and encouragement.
Everyone in the team plays hard in the role.
They are so willing to try and take the challenge to manage for the 'First Time'
Scripts and 'Idiot guide' to the relevant game stations were hand written,
'Re enactment' of the race was tested out,
No choice was given but to run the event,
but taking on the positive note,
A great deal of effort was put into the event.
I love my participants for their Enthusiasm,
Laughter, Understanding and Forgiveness.
Personally, I am gonna miss my retreat team for the year 2006.
There are so much to reflection for today and the time spent with my team.
However I am tired so will give reflection a miss today....
